The wish

Yaaaay, I decided to get off my butt and make something :/ anyway....

It is told in ancient legend that once a month, a mysterious force let random people who had suffered a great deal of pain, emotional or physical wish for almost anything they wanted, apart from power or other such greedy wishes, once they made their wish, they could not make another ever again.
Now, this may seem a wonderful thing to happen, but it comes with a downside, to for fill the wish, another must suffer, the punishment, and the person is always random, but it is never a person who has already wished or a person who is already cursed, however, the person who gets the wish is told this in their head, and they have to offer to decline, yet the only benefit they have is the benefit of not feeling guilty.

No one is quite sure why this happened, or why it stopped, but it is modern day, and reports of patients with incurable diseases have suddenly recovered, and other such reports, while around the same time, people have disappeared, it seems the wish has returned.


This is based on Earth, so please make your characters human, the only way they can be another species is due to a curse
Please do not flame if you don't like this idea, it's just something I thought of quickly
Preferably, all characters must live in the same city, but I don't mind if they are a foreigner or something like that.

Going to end up with a curse? (if yes, say what): Yes, his curse will be that he becomes a fat humanoid rat with white fur
Bio: Cyan is a normal teenager who is quite quiet, he doesn't have many friends but is very kind and open towards others.

Bio: Lives on his own with a poorly-paying job and works clock making facility. He's usually a nice yet self-centred person, and usually focuses on his own safety rather than others.

Going to end up with a curse? (if yes, say what): His inner demons will become fully active - he'll become a really violent, moody, depressed and downright sinister person.
Bio: Lives a regular life as a teenager. The regular ups and down in life, and has a girlfriend.

Cyan was sat in his room, playing on his DS. It was the summer holidays and he did not have much to do.

Graham was sat in his room, watching the news on his rather old TV. It didn't have very good reception, but it was enough. He was slouched across his sofa with the remote on his lap. The flickers from the outside light got on his nerves... although that definitely wasn't the only thing.

Cyan yawned as he had ran out of things to do on the game he was playing, he saved his game and turned off his DS, his parents weren't going to be home for another 3 hours so he decided to grab some cash from his pocket money stash and head downtown.

Meanwhile, Tommy was looking around in the shopping centre.
"Ugh... what to do..." He mumbled to himself.

After a while of walking, Cyan arrived at the shopping center, looking through shop windows at things he wanted to buy, if he didn't find anything, he decided to would spend it on watching a film, eating or something for his parents.

Tommy noticed Cyan straight away, knowing almost every other kid around here. For some reason, he didn't have a clue who Cyan was, even if he did look like a couple of people from his school. Out of curiosity, he walked on over to Cyan, but made sure not to startle him.
"Hey mate." He said, smiling a bit and hoping this had got his attention.

Cyan looked around, as he thought he was talking to someone else near to him, but when he saw no one, he faced Tommy
"Oh... you were talking to me...?" Cyan said, a bit confused, as no one really payed him any attention.

"Yeah, you." Tommy replied, chuckling.
"Um... I've never seen you before. What's your name?" He asked, hoping that this person would actually be nice instead of grumpy.

"...Cyan... I'm sorry for getting in your way..." Cyan said, as he thought he might of been blocking his view of something in the shop window.

"No! Eh... it isn't that at all!" Tommy said, really trying to stop Cyan from thinking negatively.
"I just haven't seen you around. Do you live locally?" He asked.

Cyan smiled, he was actually being noticed for once.
"Well, I um... live about 15 minutes away from here... so, yeah..."

Tommy thought to himself... he had nothing to do for the rest of the day, and it was gonna be another five hours until he'd meet with his girlfriend.
"What are you buying?" He asked, trying to keep this conversation going.

"oh... I'm not sure, I'm just looking so far..." Cyan said to him, looking at the floor due to his shyness.

(Gotta go.)

"Heh... Alright. Well, see you around." Tommy said, walking off to take a look round himself.

(aww that sucks :c)
"Bye..." Cyan said, a little depressed, as he was sure that he would forget about him, he sighed and continued looking around.

Tommy noticed something in one of the shop windows. It was that shooting game he really wanted.
"Sweet!" He chirped with glee, taking his wallet out and opening it. That was when he realised there was no money in his wallet at all. He looked at the game, sighing.
"Damn it..." He mumbled to himself, putting it away in his pocket and walking off, disappointed.

After a while, Cyan ended up at the same shop, he went inside and looked for some games to buy.
