Paper Mario: The 8 Diamond Orbs

Xavier jumps in and ends up with Ruby in a large wooded area with Diamond Orb behind some trees.

Ruby leapt at the diamond orb. "I CAN HAS."

"Actually, you-" Suddenly, all of the trees attacked, started a battle with 4 Tree Golems. "Too late..."

Ruby looked up at the Tree golems. "Well, this is odd."

"Four against two.....sounds fair." Xavier was picking his hammer attack.

Ruby looked at Xavier. "How much HP do you think they have?"

"IT'S OVER NINE THOU- wait, it says they have 20 HP. 60 HP together." Xavier smashed a Tree and dealt 5 damage.

Ruby facepalmed. "I see 4, so there is 75, not 60." She said as she hit one with a Bat, getting a Lucky hit for 10 Damage, leaving the one with 5 HP.

"....." Xavier took 0 damage from 3 of the Trees by blocking.

Ruby superguarded the fourth one, killing it.

Xavier used a POW Block from earlier and dealt 5 damage to each of the 3 remaining Trees.

Ruby used hers and did 5 as well.

(30/80 HP left.)

All 3 trees swung their branches and dealt 9 damage to both characters total.

Ruby based one with her bat.

Xavier devided to smash them again.

HP: 20/80

Ruby superguarded the 2 that attacked her.

10/80

One more tree had been destroyed, and the Tree that didn't attack began glowing...

Xavier hammered the non-glowing tree and destroyed it.

Ruby looked at the glowing tree. "Did it absorb the orb or something?"

"Possibility, 90%. Boss possibility, 100%." Xavier did notice it absorbed it, and it grew to take up half the stage, even more.

Ruby leapt back and threw Xavier at the boss.

The giant tree took 5 damage as the battle began.

Ruby Jumped onto the giant tree.

5 more damage to the tree.

Xavier decided to take time and look at the name of the boss. "We all knew a Kirby boss was involved." Then he and Ruby were smashed by giant branches and lost 4 health.

"I don't recall Whispy hitting us with branches, however." Ruby pointed out.

"That was Kirby. This is Mario. Anything can happen." A huge worm fell on top of Xavier at the end of his sentence.
