Fallout

Pierce made one last kick at the door, resting his foot on it. He looked over to Stephen, surprised that someone had shared his attention. Usually around here, everyone kept to themselves. He took his foot away from the door, breathing slowly.
"What should I do?" He asked, a tiny bit skeptical about Stephen... he was just in the bar only a minute ago. Was the bartender telling him about himself?

"Well, stop kicking the door, for one." Stephen said, stating the obvious. "And two, a locked door without a lock doesn't exist. You just have to take a couple of steps back and look around." He walked over toward the mess of papers in the wall.

There was a screen underneath, with a very dark green tint to it. After half a second, a rather clean and shiny keyboard with glowing letters emerged from under the screen. Definitely a door that would need a password, but it could be hacked... it'd be quite Hard, however.

Stephen took a look at the terminal... perhaps he'd be able to hack it, given his Intelligence. But even then, he'd be taking a chance; If he got himself locked out of the terminal, they'd both be fucked.

"The fuck is that thing?" Pierce went over to take a look, both surprised and confused about why something looking this advanced was out here, minus the Power Armour patrol. "Hoo, we might have found a secret Enclave base!" Pierce held a cheer, looking at the door and just waiting for it to open. He was already thinking of there being all sorts of goods for them waiting inside.

"Well, I wouldn't expect the Enclave to operate from somewhere so close to civilization, but we won't know unless the door decides to open." Stephen said. He decided to take a chance, and interacted with the terminal a bit.

The screen lit up, displaying a welcome message before changing to the walls of coding. There were five passwords to choose from: Indigo, Indian, Inmate, Inlaws and Intern. There'd be nothing to help out here.

"..." Pierce kept his eyes on the door, letting Stephen do his thing.

Stephen took a look at the passwords before him... usually, you get a few tries before the terminal locks you out completely. He picked "Indian", wondering how far he might get with it.

2/8 ... It was pretty clear which two letters were correct, so no help there.

Stephen seemed pretty confident about it. "Indian" narrowed his choices down to two. He tried "Inlaws" next.

It was the right one. The console gave another welcoming message, then going to the main screen. 'Unlock door' was the only available command.
"You got it?" Pierce asked.

"In two guesses." Stephen said. Since the terminal didn't seem to hold any other purpose, he selected "Unlock door".

Something could be heard unlocking from within the door. Pierce went to brutishly kick the door open again. The door swung wide open, revealing a rather dark and small warehouse room, littered with various old crates, barrels, fabrics and scrap. The windows had been boarded up rather efficiently from the inside, barely letting any outside light in. There was another door on the other side of the room, although that looked like it was broken and easy to open and close.
"Sure as hell hope there's some neat stuff they're hidin' round here." Pierce said, walking inside to take a look.

Stephen shrugged, entering the warehouse after Pierce. He left him to his scavenging, focusing more on finding information and data; documents, logs, terminals, anything that would possibly provide him with more knowledge on what they're dealing with.

Although Pierce had seen the door, he didn't want to go through it just yet. A large bit of paper with a few diagrams and sketches on caught his attention, so he went over to go pick it up... that was literally the only thing of importance in this room. But it was more than just a piece of paper with scraps on.
"Hey, come take a look at this." He said to Stephen, intrigued by what was on there.

"Eh?" Stephen diverted his attention to Pierce, wondering what he found. No telling what his expectations were at the moment, though.

There were two diagrams Pierce was pointing to. One was of a Super Mutant Behemoth, with a list of it's cons and it's weak spots. The diagram seemed to be printed in vector lines, so it wasn't all that clear. There was even the height of the behemoth on the side - 20'3". To the right of it, however, appeared to be something which was, apparently, larger. It looked like a Mutant that was completely packed with steroids, not to mention looking far more ugly than the Behemoth counterpart. There's nothing on the name, but it's height says it could be around 30 feet tall.
"Wow... this is really well printed. Seems like the Mutants must have had their hands on some kind of fancy typewriter." ... Super Mutants may have been intelligent, but only a handful. Whoever printed this must have either been an advanced mutant or somebody else did the research. "Anyway," He put the paper on the nearby crate and walked over to the door. Once again, he leaned forward and thrusted his foot into the door, breaking it down. He then stood aside and turned round to Stephen. "After you."

Stephen nodded, going through the doorway. It was probably safe to say that those were the "giants" the bartender was referring to; needless to say, he felt rather uneasy. Two men facing a Behemoth? Chances of survival were below three percent at the most, he thought.

The door lead through to a wide and large-ish corridor, just enough to fit a Corvega through. It was well lit up and the walls were polished clean, although there appeared to be nothing but darkness down at the end...
"I wonder whether this guy lives on his own." Pierce muttered, his voice echoing down the corridor. It seemed to go down quite a way... that was, until there was a door far down in the darker end of the corridor. Pierce bumped his nose into it, groaning from the unexpected pain. "Found the door." He looked for a way to open it.

There was no sign of any lock on the door. No keypad, no screen hidden away under anything, just a small intercom on the right next to the door. Even though Pierce wasn't the brightest bulb on the Wasteland, he knew that speaking into it wouldn't be a good idea. He didn't expect it to speak to him, however.
"Who's there?!" It was a human's voice. Definitely the man from the bar. He sounded very angry about Stephen and Pierce finding this place and supposedly didn't want to show his face again.

"..." Stephen stayed silent. He didn't have any plans on running; he figured it wouldn't do them much good. They'd have to either hide or fight, but he couldn't decide between either option.

"You, get over here! We have an intruder!" The man was shouting away from the intercom to someone. There was some shuffling and some footsteps among the kerfuffle, until another agro-filled voice replied.
"NOW YOU LISTEN HERE! THINGS WILL GET REALLY UGLY IF YOU DON'T TURN YOUR TINY HUMAN FRAMES ROUND AND GET LOST!" They bellowed. As mush as it was a ridiculous voice, Pierce wanted to know what was going on behind these doors. "*Growl*... they're not LEAVING!"
"Fine then, you'll have to scare them off."
"But we could be compromised!" Another different but calmer voice spoke up.
"Nobody will believe them. Now GO!" ... The intercom shut off. Pierce looked over to Stephen, wondering what was going to happen. There was some more movement which could be heard from behind the door. Pierce stood away from it and as the movement got closer, the door opened. Stood in the centre of the doorway was a faded dark brown Super Mutant, suited up with black leather straps supporting a large moulded car door (without the windshield frame) shielding it's steroid-packed torso, and was armed with a worn down minigun. The minigun itself looked as if it couldn't even be operated due to one of the four barrels having been broken off.
"What kind of excuse have you tiny maggots got?!" The tempered mutant roared at them.

Obviously, Stephen had been around long enough to know what a super mutant looked like... however, he wasn't familiar with the distinct lack of green pigment and the presence of some actual intelligence. It seemed more than just coincidence; however, his mind shifted to the laughable quality of the minigun.
...Then again, he also remembered he didn't have anything bigger than a pistol. So he waited to see what Pierce would do...

That weapon, despite looking worn down, looked like it would be enough to splinter Pierce and Stephen's heads into mush. Pierce wasn't really armed with anything but a 10mm pistol, so he felt it was best to just lay off.
"Alright... alright. We'll go." He made the decision.
"AAAND STAY OUT!" The mutant roared, spraying a light wave of mutant saliva at the two before stepping back and slamming the door shut in front of them.
"... Jesus wept." Pierce was taken aback by the aggression.

It would've been best to just head back out now... it didn't feel worth it to risk coming down here for nothing but to get yelled at by Shrek's distant American cousin.

"Eugh." Stephen was rather disgusted. Guess it was still better than trying to best a minigun with a laser pistol, though.

Pierce sighed to himself. He turned round, walking up the dark corridor and up the stairs, back into the room full of the unwanted debris. Behind one of the windows on the left, underneath all the wooden boards, he could see some movement far off on the other side of the street outside. He walked out just to satisfy his own suspicion. It was the same patrol he bumped into earlier, still noticing they both had the bit of cloth over their left pauldrons.
"... Hmmm..." What if he got them to go search out the super mutant-infested hideout? They looked like they had enough firepower to take on the Brotherhood alone, and the mutant's can't have been doing anything good in their hideout if they didn't want people coming in. "I got an idea."
