An outcast's prayer

Lenny had finally driven into the forest. From there they just had to make sure he would lose the helicopter. Already, under a rather thick part of the jungle canopy, he turned his car to the right. Scizo saw the helicopter was still going straight on for a bit, but then it circled back round in the direction Lenny was driving.
"They're still onto us!" Scizo exclaimed.

"What the hell did you even do to get those cops onto you?!" Messilita shouted at Lenny,very suspicious of him.

"Another time." Lenny growled back, turning left round a thick tree trunk as the car skidded a little across the grass. The helicopter still pursued, and it didn't seem as if it was going to lose the car.
"What can we do to lose it?" Scizo asked. Lenny thought to himself... something stupid or crazy, maybe?

"This is crazy!" Messilita commented on the entire thing,she had a little regret on jumping into the car in the first place.

"Hold on... I think I've got it." Scizo said, rolling down the window and readying one of her PR-38's.
"What are you doing?" Lenny asked, keeping aware of any trees and bushes.
"Shooting the helicopter down!" She replied, climbing out and onto the top of the car.
"Why didn't I think of that?" Lenny asked himself. Scizo pulled out a mini missile in her pouch that was roughly the size of her thumb, as she inserted it into the bottom of the pistol. Crouching down on one knee to steady herself, she aimed at the helicopter, waiting for the small light on the side of the pistol to go green, which meant the missile had locked on.

Messilita watched in awe,she had never seen such a pistol that can shoot a missile.

Lenny saw a tree coming up. He knew that turning would probably cause Scizo to lose her balance and, possibly, fall off the car. He slowed down a bit, clutching his fist in anger at nature.
"You gonna fire?!" Lenny yelled out to Scizo.
"Hold on, I almost got a lock!" She yelled. At that moment, the light on the side flashed green. She grinned.
"See ya." She mumbled before firing the missile directly at the helicopter. She watched as the missile curved up before colliding into the tail of the helicopter as it lit up in a rather small explosion, but it caused the helicopter to spin in the air as smoke poured out from the tail.
"Got it!" Scizo yelled out with glee, hopping back into the vehicle as Lenny just managed to turn the car to the left, the back end fishtailing out as the rear bumper was knocked off by the collision.
"That was way too close." Lenny said, driving the car off.

"I got to get me one of those." Messilita pointed at the pistol Scizo had. She didn't think such a weapon existed or something.

"Oh, this? I got it made custom. You probably won't find one anywhere else." Scizo said to Messilita.

"I see...so it's the only one." Messilita turned back to Lenny.
"So,now what?" She asked him.

"We're gonna have to find shelter. Going back A.S.A.P is just suicide." Lenny replied.

"What?! What about my mom? she'll be worried about me!" Messilita started to object,she wanted to go home soon.

"If you wanna go back to get yourself thrown in jail then that's fine by me." Lenny replied, hoping to change her mind.

"But I didnt do anything wrong!" She pointed out.
"Mom's worried if I don't go back..."

"Messi..." Scizo tried her turn at talking some sense into her.
"Those police are locking the entire city down. You'll be limited on where you go, you probably won't get anywhere without being unsafe, and there's a chance you will be the next one to die." She explained.

Messilita was about to break.
"I don't care!! Please!! If mom doesn't find me home before nightfall,she'll...she'll..." Just thinking what could possibly happen already forced her to cry.

"..." Scizo sighed, wrapping her arms around Messi to comfort her.
"Hey... I'll tell her what happened, okay? I'll be the one getting the blame, not you." She whispered to her. Lenny wasn't saying a word, although he was just waiting for those words to tell him to turn the car around.

"I know her.." She said as she sobbed. "She won't stop until she finds me...and she doesn't have a phone right now...she's getting old too." Messilita sighed and stopped sobbing.

Lenny cursed under his breath... this really wasn't the kind of situation he had hoped for.

"..." Messilita didn't know what to do...Since the loss of her sister,she was already depressed.

Losing her dad during the 1st war...

And now if she loses her mom to a mad killer,she would be lonely in this world,without a family member.

(Damn tears.)

Lenny and Scizo both looked at each other... there wasn't anything they could really do. As he turned his head back to the forest, he started thinking to himself. It started to remind Lenny of the times back when he was in the gang with his brothers and friends... How they all used to stick together, how they would never turn their backs on each other, but what scarred him was how they were betrayed... how his own brother was shot right in front of him. He sighed, knowing that he would still be haunted by that.
"You don't wanna go through losing someone close to you..." Lenny mumbled, slowing the car down and turning it around.
"We're not going back to the city, are we?" Scizo asked.
"Yes... but we're gonna wait until night time. That way it should be easier to sneak into the city if it's already locked down." Lenny replied.

Messilita closed her eyes for a few seconds and let out a sigh of relief as she opened them again.

"I'm glad you understand..." She said in thanks.

Tony and Fluff listened to the police chopper's broadcast while the chase ensued. After it cut out, Tony sat back in his seat, handing Fluff his phone, "Call Red, see if she's alright," Fluff took the phone with a confused look, "Why? You think she was near that chase?" she asked, Tony sighed, "It's just to calm a hunch," he replied as Fluff dialed Messilita's number.

Messilita's phone rang,only giving a vibration in her pocket.
"Hang on a sec." Messilita dug into her pocket and grabbed her phone.

She answered the call.
"Hello?"

"Hi Messi, it's Julie. Tony's friend," she replied, "Tony heard about a police chopper going down during a chase and was wondering if you were alright," she explained, picking at the radio dial.
