Alex walked up to the boarded up doors, "Either most of the mall panicked at the announcement and holed themselves in here, or some weirdo took advantage of a sale on home improvement," He tested to door, as expected it didn't budge, "I'm willing to bet on the latter,"

"Great..." Elisa sighed.
"How are we gonna get our stuff now?"

"I don't want to wear this shirt everyday!!" Lucia complained.

"Psh,I'm fine with this..like I take a shower anyway.." Sola brushed her hair.

"Excuse me!?" Messilita jumped away from Sola.

"Regardless,how are we going to get past these boarded doors?..smash through them?" Elisa placed her finger on under her chin.

Alex tool several steps back, "We might have to, unless... Ah-ha!" He shouted, finding what he wanted.

Elisa,Messilita,Lucia and Sola were simply looking at Alex...wondering what his idea would be.

Alex walked to an elevator and pushed the button, which did not respond, "Huh. Must have cut the power. No matter, for I am Alexander, scourge of doors everywhere!" He proclaimed, beginning to force the elevator doors open.

Sola went to a side door and tried to pick the lock.
"Well,if some mobians won't be on our side I guess we gotta convince them by gunpoint." She suggested as she worked.

"Take it easy Sola, we don't really know which of them have snapped or not," Alex reasoned, the elevator doors starting to slowly open.

"If they point a gun at me,they'll wish they never did in the first place..." Sola chuckled and continued to pick the lock.

Elisa walked over to Alex.
"You need help with that?"

"Nah, I got it," Alex said, his progress wasn't anything great, but it was progress.

"Making congress?" Elisa joked...as con is the opposite of pro.

Sola giggled on that joke...but Messilita and Lucia were not so mature yet to understand.They both scratched their heads in confusion.

Alex let out a sarcastic laugh, "Very funny, does anyone see something to hold this open?" He asked.

"...You need help..." Elisa sighed and tried to hold the door open.

"Thank-you," Alex took a look in the elevator shaft, "Well, I know why the elevator doesn't work, someone cut the cables," he said taking note of the lack of anything in the shaft, "Any luck on that door Sola?"

"Shush,I almost got it." Sola said.

Alex took another look down the elevator shaft, "I wonder..." He looked around the shaft for a ladder.

"Got it!" Sola heard a satisfying clunk of the lock.
"We can get in now." She turned the knob and the door opened.

Alex looked back at the door, "Alright, let 'er go Ellie," he said, walking towards Sola.

"Cmon." Elisa led her children toward the door.

Sola stopped Alex.
"Nuh-uh...ladies first." She stuck her tounge and went in

"But of course, where are my manners?" Alex said, standing aside for the girls.

"Thank you Alex!" Messilita said as she walked past him and into the mall.

"Gentlemanliness shouldn't be thrown away in the face of coming doom," Alex noted, following her.

"Thats right!" Elisa smiled and walked on.

"Indeed it is Ellie, indeed it is," Alex said.

Solarina took the lead...looking around the mall.
"From the looks of it...I think they might have looted some shops."

Alex nodded "Looks like it," he wasn't really listening, he was more focused on finding his sister and fiancée.
