The basis behind wildcard rpgs is exactly that. An rpg thats supposed to attract everyone to them. I know it sounds crazy, and even impossible, but my madness has made a way to actually create such a system. The only problem is... they ALWAYS slam IT down. Thats not the purpose of a wildcard.
Wildcards have a system that allows players to force the rp according to their desires. This means that nobody should refuse the rpg on the grounds that it doesnt meet their style of play. Instead... you should refuse ONLY because you hate the people who are playing it in the first place... even then, perhaps you can enter to teach them a lesson about such roleplaying in the first place... and actually take pleasure in forcing your imagination on them.
Thats the magnigicence of a wildcard. It conforms to the desires of those who actually are able to force their way to the top in an ultimate way.
SOO... the only one you can blame for how bad those rps have become... is yourself.
Despise it or love it... thats always a reason why wildcards should be played. Its the perfect way to force others to see why you like certain other rpgs in the first place.
And the more reason you hate it... is the more reason to actually do somehing about its layout.
