52nd Dimension:Kardinal's wake.

Messilita got into the driver seat of the jeep,Lucia getting to the passenger seat beside.

"Uhm,don't mind the lack of space but...Army rules still apply." Messilita then started the engines after finding the keys.

"Uhh,thats a pretty big gun for a civilian." Lucia remarked on Synthia's Light Machinegun.

"Oh, it's small compared to this other one I've got." Synthia said, hopping into the back of the jeep. Brego did the same, crossing his arms as he sat down.
"..."

Messilita gave a little,sly smirk.
"You know..." She started. "This jeep is pretty special." She said as she started moving forward once the garage doors were lifted.

Lucia rolled her eyes,this was like the 100th time she has heard this.

Outside,Elisa was waving farewells to the four.

Synthia also waved, but Brego just kept his eyes on the seat in front of him.

Messilita was on the road finally,she followed her little map to get to the outpost to report in for duty.
"Listen,combat is quite a scary thing,you sure you know how to handle such cases?...dead bodies?..loud gunshots?" She started asking for attention as she drives.

"Oh, sure!" Synthia said.
"I'm a little bit deaf from guns, anyway. Although I can still hear fine." She added.

"Okay,don't say I didn't warn you." Messilita accelerated once she was nearing a road leading out of town.

The mechs were taking the shortcut,heading through the marshlands.Near Alex.

Alex stayed in his foliage cover and watched the mechs go past.

Brego looked at the surroundings. He folded the collar on his trench coat up so that no pedestrians would see his face.

Messilita continued to drive along a dirt road now,she was silent.

Lucia just looked around.

Synthia sat back in her seat, watching the scenery fly past.

Messilita suddenly put the car to a light brake and accelerated,turning.

It was obviously a drift...between 2 trees.

Alex looked around, waiting for the oppertunity to abscond.

"You seem like you've done this before." Synthia said, talking about Messilita's driving.

"She always does that." Lucia remarked.
"Unless she's driving alone."

Synthia yawned, scratching the back of her head. She looked at Brego, noticing he was slouched in his seat.
"Wassup?" She asked. He gave her a glance, then simply blanked her. Synthia rolled her eyes.

"Whoa whoa whoa." Messilita started to slow down the car.

"WHOA WHOA WHOA!!" Messilita then applied full brakes. The bridge connecting to another road was blown clean off,traces of the bridge was still present but the gap would cause the jeep to fall into a chasm.

On top of that,smoke was far beyond clear sight.

"What happened?" Synthia asked. She looked between Lucia and Messilita to see the destroyed bridge. She gasped in shock.
"What happened?!"

"I..I don't know." Messilita was also in shock.

"Wait." Lucia motioned for everyone to be silent. She could hear something...rumbling.

Synthia frowned, wondering what the rumbling was. Brego didn't even bother to move or react, he just stayed slouched in his seat, arms crossed and frowning.

Alex had decided to follow the mechs, to see where they were going.

The mechs started going into the swamp,submerging. The female commander didn't follow,she started crossing around it.

The rumbling was niether loud nor quiet. Its direction that is was coming from was somewhere below.

A screech was heard far away,sounding like motor-bikes.A loud bang followed,being directly in front of the jeep. Black smoke started pouring out of a long barrel.

"Is that?" Lucia whispered,tucked down a bit.She reached for her pistol in the jeep's cabinet.

"Cannons...big ones." Messilita whispered back,hands on the wheel.

"What should we do?" Synthia whispered.

Alex watched the mechs submerge and decided it wasn't the best idea to go in after them, instead, he decided to try and tail the commander as she went around the swamp.

"I'll turn this jeep around and use a detour towards the camp." Messilita started to shift gears to reverse.

The jeep made repetitive beeps as it reversed,Lucia was feeling uncomfortable about that.
"What if they hear us?"

"I don't know,but lets hope they don't at all." Messilita replied.
