The energy spears had already locked onto the IA's signature.
They hunted him down.

The Ia kept running,keeping close to the walls to explode some of the energy spheres

Many still followed.

Several grenades laid waste to the ground in front of the IA.

He was practicly trapped.

The energy spears bombarded him in the back.

His lifeless body tumbled in
to the shallow crater made by the grenades.
IA-KO'd

"Knocked out" wasn't enough for Sigma.

He went in for the final skewer, aiming to finish the job.

(I just said 'Lifeless Body' That implies he's dead)

(You said KO'd. And who's to say Sigma's not a bit of a sadist?)

The Ia was dead.

"One merc to another: The hunter is ALWAYS the hunted in my book." Sigma said.

"Ahem." Ciel cleared her throat, floating down beside him.

"Oh, right." Sigma said, rushing back towards the battle.

Bullethead Mercenaries 1,2,3,4,and 5 entered,each with A submachine gun equipped with a grenade launcher.

The two executed a double attack on the mercenaries--a technique they named "Dei EX Machina".

Ciel fired several plasma missiles at the Mercenaries.

Sigma rushed in, executing several special blade combinations.

One of the mercenaries went down.the other four went into hand to hand combat.

Sigma's superior bladefighting skills were bound to overpower them at any rate...

one of them cracked Sigma in the head with a melee attack from their gun

This didn't seem to faze Sigma too much, now lashing out with a riposte (blade counter-attack).

another went down.the last 3 hid out of sight.
